Whatcom County Triage Center

The Whatcom County Triage Center (WCTC) in Bellingham can accommodate 5 individuals who are recovering from a mental health crisis. We provide crisis stabilization, walk-in emergency and next day appointments. Referrals to the WCTC can be made by calling the Crisis Care Line at (800) 584-3578. Professionals can call directly to make referrals at (360) 676-2020. The mental health facility is co-located with a detox facility that is operated by Pioneer Services, to which individuals needing non-medical sobering support can be referred.

To access this service, call the VOA Care Crisis Response Services ‘the Care Crisis Line” at (800) 584-3578, 24 hours-a-day, 365 days-a-year to speak with a licensed mental health professional who will assess the situation and make appropriate referrals.

Whatcom County Triage Center is owned by Whatcom County. The Triage Center is run by Compass Health staff and the detox facility is run by Pioneer Human Services. Entrance to the Triage Center is on left side of the building (if viewing from the street).
