Mari’s Place For The Arts provides cultural programs for children of families from all income levels and ethnic backgrounds. As participants become older and more skilled, they often return to teach classes to younger students. Belonging to a community, and particularly giving back to a community, improves resilience in vulnerable children. It has been found that such children tend to set early goals and gain strength, confidence, trust and the ability to recognize their gifts resulting in successful future lives.
