WIC: Women, Infants, & Children
WIC is a place where families receive healthy food as well as screenings, referrals, education, and a lot more. Almost half of all babies in Washington state are on WIC. All services are provided at no cost to qualifying Island County families.

Income eligible military or Washington state residents, including working families, Pregnant women, Women who are breastfeeding a baby under 1 year of age, Women who have had a baby in the past six months, Parents, step-parents, single father, guardians and foster parents of infants and children under the age of 5 can apply for their children, and Families on Medicaid, Basic Food and/or TANF (Temporary Aid to Needy Families)
