The Brain Injury Alliance of Washington (BIAWA) is a small, nonprofit organization that has exhibited the power to do great things. The BIAWA was originally founded in 1982 as the Washington State Head Injury Foundation by family members determined to create a system of support for all Washingtonians affected by Brain Injury. Our cadre of volunteers, board members and staff work collaboratively to carry out the organization’s mission: to increase public awareness, support and hope for those affected by Brain Injury through education, assistance and advocacy.
