Court Appointed Special Advocates

The Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program is a volunteer-based organization that advocates for children involved in the legal system due to abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to represent the best interests of these children, providing them with a voice and advocating for their needs. They gather information from various sources, such as caseworkers and teachers, in order to make informed recommendations to the court on the child's behalf. CASA aims to ensure that these vulnerable children are not further victimized or lost in the complex legal system, and strives to find them safe and permanent homes.
