SAIL (Stay Active & Independent for Life)
SAIL (Stay Active & Independent for Life) is a community program offered by the Camano Center in order to promote physical fitness and independence among older adults. This evidence-based program focuses on improving strength, balance, and flexibility through a variety of exercises and activities. SAIL provides participants with the tools and knowledge they need to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prevent falls. Classes are led by trained instructors and include a mix of aerobic exercises, warm-up and cool-down activities, as well as strength and balance training. Participants are encouraged to go at their own pace and modifications are offered for those with physical limitations. SAIL is a wonderful opportunity for older adults to stay active, socialize, and improve their overall health and well-being.
