For more than a century, the Red Cross has relied upon its volunteers to prevent, prepare for and respond to countless tragedies. No other organization is more experienced in utilizing volunteer resources and the expertise to keep people safe and sound. Volunteers carry out 90% of the humanitarian work of the Red Cross. Volunteers aged 14 and over are encouraged to become part of our Youth Program by joining a local Red Cross Club, which offers meaningful opportunities for education, training and community service. Current Undergraduate students also have the opportunity to join a club at their local college or university. For more information, please contact our Volunteer Services Department.
