Mill Creek Cooperative Preschool is a non-profit school run by our parents under the guidance of our teacher and Edmonds Community College. Co-op philosophy believes parents are a vital part of the early childhood educational experience and, unlike a traditional preschool, our assistant teachers, board of directors, housekeepers, administrators and fundraisers are all parents. Through our co-op program, parents are also students: Educators teach parents how to support children as they engage in guided play, exploration and self-discovery. Each member is required to contribute to the success of the school through work in the classroom, attending monthly member meetings, fulfilling a school-wide job, cleaning and set-up duties and more.
