Bereavement Support
The loss of a loved one is always difficult, if not painful, to those left behind. Swedish Bereavement Services is available to provide bereavement support. We can provide guidance as families and friends process their grief and we can connect them to various community resources as needed. Grief may not go away, but it can soften and give way to opportunities for healing. There are also several support groups where participants can collectively grieve in healing ways. We offer a Journey of Grief group, for those who knew their loved one was dying, and two groups for those who suffered a traumatic loss, Sudden and Traumatic Loss and Survivors of Suicide group. These three groups are offered three times a year as needed. We also offer two groups each month; one is a group for the newly bereaved, Early Days of Grief and the other is an Ambiguous and Non-Death Loss group. Our groups our focused on education and support, not therapy. These support groups are led by well-trained volunteers online using Zoom.
