Historical Museum
As the Granite Falls area and the Mt. Loop Highway valley grow and change, our history and heritage become ever more important aspects of the community fabric. The Granite Falls Historical Society is a volunteer organization dedicated to honoring the contributions and lives of past residents, while providing inspiration and direction for future ones. Our museum began with the Sharp House, a former home converted into a display. The Sharp House takes visitors back in time, allowing them to see what life was like 100 years ago. As our collection expanded, we added an additional building in 2007. The new building focuses on a century of industry, education, and recreation, from the founding of Granite Falls in the 1890s to the present day.
