Transitional Housing

Friendship House's Transitional Housing Program is for residents who need extra time to gain stability and save money. The houses are run in an egalitarian manner, with additional oversight from Kristie, our Transitional Housing Manager. Residents may live in transitional housing for up to one year. Friendship House currently operates two houses: one in Mount Vernon and one in Burlington. Candidates for transitional housing must first complete at least one month in one of our emergency shelters. Clients cannot be admitted to the transitional housing program outside of this process.
