Living near natural areas is a privilege that many of us enjoy in Snohomish County and Camano Island. We benefit from fishing, hunting, swimming, hiking, wildlife viewing, and just relaxing in our forests, along streams and rivers, near wetlands, and in our own backyards. At the same time, living with nature brings many unique challenges along with it. Flooding, erosion from streams and rivers, beaver damage, and weed infestations are issues that many of us encounter on our properties.
