NAMI Basics

NAMI Basics is a comprehensive 6-session education program by NAMI Sno-Isle for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents who are experiencing mental health symptoms. This program provides essential information, resources, and support for families who have a child or adolescent with a mental health condition. Participants will learn about various mental health diagnoses, treatment options, the impact on the family, and how to advocate for their child's needs. The program includes presentations, group discussions, and interactive activities led by trained teachers who have first-hand experience raising children with mental health challenges. Through this program, caregivers can gain knowledge, skills, and strategies to help their child and family cope with mental illness.

Eligibility:

For parents, caregivers and other family who provide care for youth (ages 22 and younger) who are experiencing mental health symptoms
